TORPOL has concluded a contract for the reconstruction of the Łódź Kaliska station
Today, on the platform of the Łódź Kaliska station, a ceremonial signing of the contract for the performance of design and construction works at the Łódź Kaliska station was carried out as part of the project entitled: “Works on railway lines No. 15 and 16 on the section of Łódź Kaliska – Zgierz – Kutno” and the project under the name: “Completion of the construction of the eastern viaduct at the Łódź Kaliska station”.
The subject of the contract is the performance of design works and the comprehensive reconstruction of the Łódź Kaliska station. The works are to include the demolition and replacement of tracks, railway traffic control devices, overhead contact line and power and teletechnical networks, as well as the reconstruction of platforms and underground passages with drainage. Additionally, as part of the investment, the construction of the eastern viaduct over Aleja Bandurskiego will be completed, which will ultimately increase the capacity of the Łódź Kaliska station.
The contract value is approx. PLN 406.8 million gross (PLN 330.7 million excl. VAT), and the deadline has been set at 38 months from the date of signing the contract. In the first stage, which will last about a year, the Company will start the design works and obtain appropriate permits, after which the main construction works will commence.
Torpol’s current order backlog is over PLN 4 billion.
