TORPOL S.A. has concluded a new contract with PKP PLK S.A.

TORPOL S.A. – as the leader of the consortium –  signed an agreement with PKP PLK S.A. for the design and execution of works for the public order under the name: “Demolition, reconstruction, expansion and construction of the railway line No. 104 Chabówka – Nowy Sącz on section E executed under the project: “Construction of the New railway line Podłęże – Szczyrzyc – Tymbark/Mszana Dolna and modernisation of the existing railway line No. 104 Chabówka – Nowy Sącz.”

The project will involve the design and execution of comprehensive construction works on the railway infrastructure, such as the track system with substructure, trackside works and drainage, overhead line, and non-traction power supply line together with the teletechnical network, as well as the road system and engineering structures. Among other things, new, longer platforms will be built at the stations, along with the necessary technical infrastructure and equipment, and they will be adapted to the needs of people with reduced mobility. A Local Control Centre (LCS) will be built in Nowy Sącz, and a new signal box at Marcinkowice station. Railway-road crossings will also be built and modernised, along with the sections of road along which they are located. Thanks to the implementation of the project, rail traffic will be restored after 20 years, and the inhabitants of towns and villages located near the railway route will gain better transport access.

The value of the concluded contract is approximately PLN 963.95 million gross, of which the Company’s share is approximately 76%. The completion time of the investment is 30 months from the date of signing the contract for the primary order.
