We support the volunteer firefighters

In pursuing the objectives of its Corporate Social Responsibility strategy, TORPOL S.A. intends to support, among other things, the local communities with which it is associated. This time, the Company’s support was given to the Voluntary Fire Brigade unit in Przyprostynia. The firefighters received an iPad AED defibrillator, which will improve the comfort of the rescuers’ work and also the safety of Zbąszyń municipality residents. We also had the opportunity to visit the fire station and familiarise ourselves with the unit’s equipment, as well as talk about the hardships of their service.

Voluntary Fire Brigade units are uniformed fire protection units, equipped with specialised equipment, designed to fight fires, natural disasters or other local threats, including those carrying out specialised rescue operations. The voluntary brigades closely cooperates with the organisational units of the State Fire Service and other entities and institutions to ensure the safety of citizens in the area of its local operation.

The day-to-day activities of the Voluntary Fire Brigade make a huge contribution to the assistance of the State Fire Service, especially in areas far from the urban areas, where volunteers are often the first line of assistance. We wish the firefighters good luck and hope that the defibrillator will not have to be used very often!
