Under the project of improving rail access to seaports in Szczecin and Świnoujście, the Company performed two tasks. The first included the development of designs and execution of construction works at the Szczecin Port Central Station worth approximately PLN 936 million net (PLN 1.2 billion gross), which included, among others: demolition of 88 km of tracks and 261 turnouts, 61.6 km of tracks were built, 75.4 km of the traction network and 5 engineering structures were rebuilt. 12 rail-road crossings have also been modernized, and 177 new turnouts are equipped with electric heating devices, which will enable failure-free operation during low temperatures. The works performed increase the transshipment capacity of the Szczecin Port station, ensuring trains reach directly to selected areas of the port.
The second task concerned the reconstruction of the Świnoujście Port station worth approximately PLN 508 million (PLN 625 million gross), which included the demolition of 31.5 km of tracks, construction of 35 km of tracks, modernization of 3 platforms, and reconstruction of 38 km of the traction network. and 2 engineering structures. 10 crossings were also modernized and 108 turnouts were replaced. The installed modern railway traffic control devices increased the level of transport safety. The investment enables longer and heavier trains to run, which affects the development of the Sea Port in Świnoujście.
